Eastern Area Agency on Aging Commodity Supplemental Food Program

Eastern Area Agency on Aging Commodity Supplemental Food Program

KVHC is partnering with Eastern Area on Aging to assist with their Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). This goal of this program is to improve the health of low-income elderly persons, at least 60 years of age, by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods. On the third Thursday of each month Patten South (529 South Patten Road) will be the distribution center for the commodity program. These food packages include a variety of non-perishable items that vary month to month. To be eligible for the CSFP a person must be 60 years of age and have a household income of below 130% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. If you or anyone you know would benefit from this program there is a very simple application that can be found on the Eastern Area on Aging website at www.eaaa.org.
