KVHC has again received a Health Center Quality Leader award as part of Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Quality Improvement Awards. As a Health Center Quality Leader, KVHC achieved the best overall clinical performance among all health centers, placing in the top 30% of the adjusted quartile rankings for clinical quality measures. HRSA’s Quality Improvement Awards recognize the highest performing health centers nationwide as well as those health centers that have made significant quality improvement gains from the previous year. KVHC received recognition in six out of the nine categories: Electronic Health Record Reporters – employed Electronic Health Records to report on all Clinical Quality Measures data for all of the health center’s patients.

Health Center Quality Leader – achieved the best overall clinical performance among all health centers and placed in the top 30% of the adjusted quartile rankings for clinical quality measures.

Enhancing Access to Care – recognized health centers that increased the total number of patients served and the number of patients receiving comprehensive services between 2016 and 2017.

Addressing Health Disparities – recognized health centers that met, exceeded, or made at least a 10% improvement toward Healthy People 2020 goals across different racial/ethnic groups.

Advancing Health Information Technology for Quality – recognized health centers that utilized HIT systems to increase access to care and advance quality of care.

Achieving Patient Centered Medical Home – Health centers with patient-centered medical home (PCMH) recognition in one or more delivery site
