Katahdin Valley Health Center (KVHC) is seeking a Human Resource Assistant located in Patten, Maine. This is a full time, forty (40) hour per week position, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. The HR Assistant will assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties including, employee relations, training and development, employee benefits, hiring and orientation, recordkeeping, FMLA, Workers Compensation, and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Requirements: Proven experience as an HR Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position. Basic knowledge of employee benefits, labor laws, FMLA. Workers Compensation and OSHA. Previous experience in a health care organization preferred.
KVHC pays 80% of the Health Insurance Premium for the employee. Dental Insurance Benefit for the employee and family at KVHC Dental Center. Accrued 1 week of Paid Vacation year one and accrued 2 weeks of paid vacation each year thereafter. Accrued up to 40 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) year one and up to 88 hours of PTO annually thereafter. Short Term, Long Term Disability premium paid at 100% by KVHC.
