Description:

The Nurse Practitioner will provide quality health care and emergency treatment to KVHC patients.  Health care includes: health promotions; prevention of disease and disability; identification of health problems; management of health problems; and referral with communication to the Patient’s Primary Care Provider.  The Nurse Practitioner will practice medicine within the scope of their licensure and if applicable, under the Supervision of a KVHC Physician.

The Physician Associate will provide quality primary health care and emergency treatment to KVHC clients. Primary health care includes: health promotions; prevention of disease and disability; health maintenance; rehabilitation; identification of health problems; management of health problems; and referral under the direction of a supervising physician. The Physician Associate will practice medicine within the scope of their licensure and, under the Supervision of a KVHC Physician.

Description:

Description:

The Physician will provide quality primary medical care and emergency treatment to KVHC patients while participating in appropriate supervision, coordination, and implementation of health care programs and procedures. The Physician will supervise non-physician practitioners and work as part of the Care Team to ensure effective and quality care is given to the KVHC patient.

Description:

The Behavioral Health Clinician will work with KVHC patients in providing outpatient community mental health services.  The Behavioral Health Counselor will collaborate with the Primary Care Providers to recognize, treat and manage mental health and psychosocial issues while acting as a contributing member to the Integrated Primary Care Team.

Description:

The Optometrist will provide quality eye care and emergency treatment to Katahdin Valley Health Center patients. The primary focus will be to examine eyes and visual system, diagnose problems or impairments, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide treatment.  May prescribe therapeutic drugs to treat specific eye conditions.  The optometrist will collaborate with KVHC providers while acting as a contributing member to the Integrated Primary Care Team.

Description:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for restoring patient’s function, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.  The Physical Therapist will diagnose and treat individuals of all ages who have medical problems or other health related conditions that limit the ability to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.  As a member of KVHC’s Integrated Care Team, the Physical Therapist will assume a leadership role in rehabilitation, in prevention, health maintenance, and programs that promote health, wellness, and fitness, along with developing standards for the physical therapist practice and in developing health care policy to ensure availability, accessibility, and optimal delivery of health care services.

Pharmacy Technician - Corinth, Dover-Foxcroft, Houlton, Millinocket

Description: 

The Pharmacy Technician provides the technical functions associated with the delivery of pharmacy services by maintaining proper stock levels in all pharmacy locations, compounding or otherwise preparing, filling, pricing, and delivering pharmaceuticals or other related items. The incumbent may perform duties such as entering prescriptions, completing reports, operating and maintaining automated dispensing devices, inputting computer data, and providing all aspects of customer service that are required to provide excellent pharmacy services. This position completes the essential functions of the job under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.

Organizes and directs the workflow of operations within the department according to Katahdin Valley Health Center (KVHC) and Pharmacy policies, procedures, mission, goals and values.  Provides direction for technician staff regarding medication management processes, including financial stewardship. Implements optimal systems of care in coordination with the Pharmacy Director, solves problems and facilitates processes required to achieve health system strategic objectives within budgetary targets. Additional responsibilities include management of assigned staff, quality measurement and process improvement, practice standards within area of responsibility and regulatory compliance.

Description: 

The Dentist will perform general dental services to the Katahdin Valley Health Center clients/patients who desire dental/oral health care with high quality and in a timely manner.  Provides quality dental care and emergency treatment to KVHC clients.  Aids in appropriate supervision, coordination, and implementation of oral health care programs and procedures.  Provides input in the development of policies, services, and procedures to improve the oral health care in the area and to improve Health Center utilization.

Description:

The Dental Assistant will assist dentist/and or dental hygienist during examination and treatment of patients in accordance with professional dental standards and KVHC policies and procedures. The person in this role will function under the supervision of the Dental Practice Manager and/or the Provider. The Dental Assistant will work as part of the Dental Care Team to ensure effective and quality dental care is given to KVHC patients.

Description:

The person in this role will perform primary dental hygiene and assist the dentist in providing quality dental care.  The Hygienist will work as part of the dental care team and ensure effective and quality dental care is given to KVHC patients.  This person will aid in coordination and implementation of dental care programs and patient education.

Care Manager RN - Brownville, Dover-Foxcroft, Millinocket

Description: 

The Care Manager is responsible for managing high risk chronic illness patients to promote effective education, self-management support and timely healthcare delivery to achieve optimal quality and financial outcomes.  The Patient Care Manager will work as part of the Patient Care Team to insure effective and quality care is given to the KVHC patient. RN licensure required.

Description:

The CNA will assist the medical staff in providing medical care to patients of various ages in accordance with nursing professional standards and KVHC policies and procedures. The person in this role will function under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or the Provider.  The CNA will work as part of the Clinical Care Team to insure effective and quality care is given to the KVHC patient.

Description:

The Chiropractic Assistant will assist the medical staff in providing medical care to patients of various ages according in accordance with nursing professional standards and KVHC policies and procedures. The person in this role will function under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or the Provider.  The Chiropractic Assistant will work as part of the Clinical Care Team to insure effective and quality care is given to the KVHC patient.

Description:

The Medical Assistant provides nursing and administrative assistance to the Clinical Medical Staff.  The Medical Assistant functions under the supervision of the Provider and the Registered Nurse and works as part of the Clinical Care Team to ensure effective and quality care is given to KVHC patients.

Description:

The Medical Assistant provides nursing and administrative assistance to the Clinical Medical Staff.  The Medical Assistant functions under the supervision of the Provider and the Registered Nurse and works as part of the Clinical Care Team to ensure effective and quality care is given to KVHC patients.

Description:

Description:

The Physical Therapist Assistant will perform physical therapy and assist the Physical Therapist in providing quality care. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work as part of the Physical Therapy care team and ensure effective and quality Physical Therapy care is given to KVHC patients. This person will aid in coordination and implementation of physical therapy care programs and patient education. Physical Therapy Assistant will provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the physical Therapist. Physical Therapist Assistant will implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical Therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.

Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care; assist clinical staff while interacting with patients of all ages. The RN will work under the under the supervision of the provider and Clinical Coordinator and will work as part of a Care Team to ensure effective and quality care is given to the KVHC patient, in accordance with nursing professional standards and KVHC protocols and procedures.

Billing Coder - Brownville, Dover-Foxcroft, Patten

Position(s) Available In: Brownville, Dover-Foxcroft, Patten

Description: 

The Billing Coder will be responsible for review and submission of claims from all KVHC patient visits. This person will be responsible for Provider Education and Chart Audit in regards to coding. The CPC will work as part of the Patient Care Team to ensure effective and quality care is given to the KVHC patient.

Description:

The Billing Technician will work in the KVHC Patient Billing Department in a team setting to coordinate all aspects of the patient billing process to include Accounts Receivables, Collections and all Billing related customer service inquiries from patients.  The Billing Technician will work as part of a Care Team to ensure effective and quality care is given to KVHC patients.

Description:

The Community Health Worker will work cooperatively with KVHC patients in the endeavor to increase the number of patients who have access to health care. The person in this role will assist patients in applying for insurances, coverage, the sliding fee discount program, medication assistance and other resources. The Community Health Worker will conduct outreach, marketing and education to better inform patients on the management of health conditions, prevention of diseases, and choices of coverage and how their plan works. The Community Health Worker is responsible to help patients and their families to navigate and access community services and adopt healthy behaviors. The Community Health Worker acts as a bridge between providers and patients to promote health, reduce disparities, address social determinates of health, and improve service delivery.

Description:

The Electronic Health Records Technician is responsible for maintaining the electronic health records for Katahdin Valley Health Center patients. The person in this role will manage medical record information and enter data into the electronic medical and electronic dental records.

Description:

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for performing Human Resources related duties on a professional level and works closely with Human Resources Manager(s) in supporting the Human Resources Department functions. In addition, the position works closely with the KVHC Leadership Team in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing Human Resources policies, programs, functions and activities. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The Human Resources Administrator must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.

Description:

The IT Assistant will provide a basic level of technical user support necessary for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all KVHC hardware, software, and technology. The person in this role will provide complete backup and support for the Information Technology Manager.

Description:

The Patient Access Representative will provide administrative support to clinical staff, establish indicated healthcare services for our community, and complete all general front office duties.  The person in this role will use their skills to assist with the facilitation of care, work as part of the care team, while coordinating the flow of communication between nursing, medical, and office staff to embody our mission in providing community accessibility, quality healthcare with compassion and dignity.

Description:

The role of the Referral Specialist is to provide administrative support to the medical staff and coordinate referrals ordered by a KVHC provider or received from an external organization. The referral specialist will facilitate all communication related to referrals including prior authorization, patient education with reference to referring specialist, and utilize their organizational skills to assist with facilitating patient care.

Description:

The Scheduler will create a positive experience in greeting and scheduling patients who require appointments with Katahdin Valley Health Center.  The person in this role will provide administrative support in all areas of scheduling while obtaining and updating demographic, insurance, and registration information in the Electronic Health Record of the medical and dental systems.

Description:

The Scheduling Coordinator will lead the daily operations of central scheduling to assure best practices, excellence in customer service and maximizing schedule performance.  The person in this position is responsible for ensuring all provider schedules are at maximum capacity.

Description:

The Training Specialist will provide training and ongoing support to KVHC employees in daily operations.  The Training Specialist assures standardization of the clinical use and best practices of the electronic health record systems. This position serves as a resource for developing employee skills and knowledge base to effectively perform their job responsibilities. This Training Specialist will proactively educate and guide all KVHC employee’s on KVHC’s customer service delivery model.

Billing Manager - Brownville, Dover-Foxcroft, Patten

Position(s) Available In: Brownville, Dover-Foxcroft, Patten

Description: 

The Billing Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the overall functions of the Billing Department to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, provider, and other customer relations.  This position requires strong managerial, leadership and business office skills, including critical thinking and the ability to produce and present detailed billing activity reports.

Description:

The Billing Director will effectively lead the billing department with direct oversight of the Billing Managers, Billing Technicians, Claims Resolution Specialists, Referral Specialists, New Patient Coordinators and Billing Coders. The Billing Director is responsible for all third-party contract recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Executive Officer. The Billing Director is responsible for the strategic direction of the department.  The Billing Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of all policies and procedures relating to revenue cycle management.

Description:

The Clinical Coordinator performs supervisory duties for all nursing staff while assisting in providing medical care to patients of various ages according to KVHC Policy and in accordance with Nursing Professional Standards.  The Clinical Coordinator will work as part of the Clinical Care Team to insure effective and quality care is given to the KVHC patient.

Description:

Description:

The Quality Manager will assure quality with all aspects of patient care and within KVHC’s electronic health record.  Implement and provide training to providers and employees within the framework of the care delivery systems.  Assure standardization of clinical processes and supporting documentation to identify and share best practices across the organization.  This position serves as the organization’s expertise and primary department resource for training and report writing and retrieval of clinical data and statistics from the electronic health record for the purpose of quality assurance. This position manages and coordinates organization-wide efforts to ensure that quality and performance improvement programs are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic initiatives.  Assures that organization-wide quality initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
